✐ Info for Parents ✎
✩ Real Teachers… FizzBrain apps are developed by real teachers using the best classroom teaching practices - who also love Gods Word! FizzBrains Crossword Learning Games encourage children to practice until they achieve mastery of the Scriptures. This sets them apart from paper-and-pencil puzzles, where children receive no feedback, and therefore have less support in self-correcting to achieve mastery.
✩Repetition with Variation… The puzzles use repetition with variation to facilitate learning. The games Scripture puzzles come in sets of three puzzles that repeat the same Bible verses with different key words missing in each puzzle. So the first puzzle might have the clue God so __ the world that he gave his one and only Son while the second puzzle might contain the clue God so loved the __ that he gave his one and only Son and the third might have God so loved the world that he gave his one and only __.
✩Internalizing Gods Word… Children learn as they use the Hint button and look up verses on the Learn page. Each time children figure out a Bible verse by using a hint or by researching on the Learn page, they are internalizing Gods Word. When children have internalized the verses to the point of mastery, they can touch the RESET button and try to complete the puzzle without any hints. Only when children achieve a perfect score without any hints - in other words, achieve mastery of the verses - are they awarded their prize.
✩Support in Self-Correction… Because Crossword Learning Games are interactive, children receive immediate feedback to let them know if the answer they typed is correct. This helps them self-correct and learn faster.
✩Translations… Translations of Bible verses are based on the American Standard, King James, and World English Bible Versions (the latter is a public-domain translation based on the American Standard Version but with some updated language).
